Murillo is reported as discussing his Reds future with teams like Chelsea and Tottenham credited with an interest
Murillo says he has ‘received a few offers’ from across Europe as one of Nottingham Forest’s crown jewels continues to attract transfer speculation.
The 21-year-old enjoyed an outstanding, if not quite flawless, first campaign at the City Ground demonstrating commendable defensive traits but also real quality in possession of the ball, putting in performances that immediately caught the eye.
He has continued to generate interest which, allied to Forest’s Profitability & Sustainability Rules calculations and the current June 30 cut off point for the current accounting period, has created a maelstrom of speculation. The player himself only seemed to add to it with comments attributed to him in Brazil.
The comments, attributed to Band by The Athletic, make interesting reading for Forest fans. He is reported as saying: “I’ve received a few offers. Some official, others sounding out. I’ll take it up with my manager. They were clubs from England, Italy and Germany.
“If I stay at Nottingham, I’ll do my best. If I leave, I hope they respect my decision. I’m calm and analysing it in the best way.”
It is also reported he has been watched by ‘major’ sides in Spain, as well as by Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea and that Forest believe he is worth in the region of £60-70million.
The centre-back joined Forest for £11m from Corinthians in the summer of 2023 and played all but six of their 38 Premier League matches. He is thought to have four years left on his contract.
