Report : West Ham make first move to sign clinical £17 million rated striker who scored 22goals last season, David Moyes keen to bring him to London stadium
West Ham have taken the first step needed to sign Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres.
According to a report from Record, West Ham have finally initiated a move to sign Coventry striker Viktor Gyokeres.
Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign a new centre-forward with Gianluca Scamacca, Danny Ings and Michail Antonio all being linked with an exit from the London Stadium.
The Sweden international would be absolutely perfect for Moyes’s system, and it seems as though West Ham have made the first move to get his signature wrapped up…
West Ham have just made first move to sign ‘lethal’ striker Viktor Gyokeres
Record claim that West Ham have taken steps to sign the £17 million rated 25-year-old in the last few hours.
Gyokeres is a willing runner, and is superb at stretching the opposition’s backline by making tireless runs into the channels – something that David Moyes obviously absolutely loves – just look at his dependance on Antonio.
The Coventry forward is equally as strong with both feet and is very good at playing with his back to goal, holding up the ball and turning defenders.
The 25-year-old bagged 22 goals and 12 assists in 50 appearances for the Sky Blues this season (Transfermarkt).
He has 43 goals and 17 assists in 116 career games for Coventry under his belt (Transfermarkt).
And if West Ham manage to sign Viktor Gyokeres for just £17 million this summer, I think it would be superb business for the club.
