REPORT: Leeds United eyeing move to sign £20m Nottingham Forest attacker this summer, player open to Elland Road move

Leeds United are interested in signing Nottingham Forest attacker Emmanuel Dennis as they prepare for life in the Championship.

That is according to reports who claim an exclusive regarding Leeds’ interest in Dennis. It’s stated that Dennis is on Leeds ‘list of primary targets’ this summer as they seek a new attacker.

Patrick Bamford struggled last season and Rodrigo may well be on the move following Leeds’ relegation. The Whites will need a couple of new attackers to really have a go at promotion and Dennis could be one of them.

Leeds don’t yet have a manager or sporting director in place but are expected to make appointments soon. Daniel Farke seems to be the favourite for the job, and Dennis scored against his Norwich City for Watford back in September 2021.

Dennis may well be given an escape route to Leeds this summer and you could hardly blame him for fancying an exit.

Forest pounced to land Dennis in a £20million swoop last summer following Watford’s relegation to the Championship.

Dennis had impressed for the Hornets, bagging 10 goals and six assists in 33 appearances.

The hope was that Dennis would be able to replicate those numbers for Forest but it just hasn’t happened.

Dennis managed just six league starts last season and just 715 Premier League minutes in total. The 25-year-old clearly isn’t a key part of Steve Cooper’s plans at Forest, and he needs to leave in search of first-team minutes.

Forest would surely be open to a deal, paving the way for a new attacking addition to come in and hopefully make a big impact.

Whether it’s Leeds or another club, Forest may well be hoping that Dennis moves on and brings his time at the City Ground to an end.
