“There are players that could come back, most notably him, i’d like to see him integrated back into the club”- Paul Robinson urges Leeds to bring back out-on-loan quality player back to Elland Road if club secures promotion back to PL this season

Jack Harrison is the one Leeds United loanee that Paul Robinson wants to see back at the club above all next summer after proving his quality at Everton.

The Whites winger moved to Goodison Park on a season-long loan late in the window as part of an exodus of players with relegation release clauses in their contracts from Elland Road.

After finally recovering from injury he has become a mainstay in Sean Dyche’s side and former keeper Robinson has chosen the “brilliant” wide man as the one name he would like reintegrated into Daniel Farke’s squad, but admitted the “huge” dependency on promotion back to the Premier League for it to happen.

The BBC Sport pundit exclusively told MOT Leeds News: “I think it all depends on where the club is. Obviously the promotion would play a huge part in a lot of people’s futures, either at the club or out on loan at the moment.

“Obviously finances played a big part in where players are at the moment. I think there are players that could come back, most notably for me Jack Harrison.

“That’s only a loan and I think he had such a big impact at the club, he’s had a big impact in Everton already in the short time that he’s been there, he’s one that I’d like to see integrated back into the club if they were to be successful in getting back in the Premier League.

“He’s better than a Championship player. He’s a brilliant player, like he’s shown at Everton.

“But there’s a lot of ifs, buts, and maybes around the club and it all depends on what league they’re in next year.

“I said weeks ago I like the look of the squad, I like the manager, he works very, very well. I think the squad that they’ve got is the strongest in the Championship alongside Leicester’s.

“And I’m still waiting for Ipswich’s bubble to burst so we can go up.”

Harrison is the one loanee who has had the biggest impact on Leeds United previously, and while on quality alone Max Wober and Luis Sinisterra might be useful returners the manner of their departures suggest that might be easier said than done.

The Englishman was himself treated strangely by the Whites last season so his loan exit may be seen as more excusable, and his one Premier League goal and three assists in just nine outings for a resurgent Everton side have demonstrated his enduring ability.

Robinson is right that the chances of him coming back to Elland Road any time soon hinge almost entirely on Farke securing promotion, but assuming he does there seems more chance for the 27-year-old to be welcomed back than anyone else.
