Dia Bell, a five-star quarterback from American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has remained steadfast in his commitment to the Texas Longhorns, despite significant interest and lucrative offers from other top-tier programs. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 190 pounds, Bell is ranked as the No. 5 overall prospect and the No. 2 quarterback in the 2026 class by On3’s On300 rankings.

Bell committed to Texas on June 17, 2024, choosing the Longhorns over other prestigious programs such as Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Ohio State, and Florida State. Despite these schools’ continued efforts to sway him, Bell has remained loyal to Texas. He has no plans to visit any other programs and has scheduled a return trip to Austin next month, followed by his official visit on June 20.

One of the key factors in Bell’s unwavering commitment is the stability of Texas’s coaching staff under head coach Steve Sarkisian and quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee. Bell has expressed his confidence in their consistent leadership and their proven track record in developing quarterbacks.

In addition to his on-field success, Bell has capitalized on his name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities. In August 2024, he reportedly signed a six-figure deal with Leaf Trading Cards, one of the most lucrative agreements for a high school athlete in Florida since NIL regulations were relaxed.

Bell’s commitment to Texas is further strengthened by his relationships within the program. He is good friends with KJ Lacey, Texas’s 2025 four-star quarterback commit, and has expressed excitement about the prospect of playing together.

As he continues his high school career, Bell is set to participate in the 2025 Under Armour All-American Game, showcasing his talents on a national stage. His unwavering commitment to Texas, combined with his on-field performance and NIL success, positions him as a cornerstone for the Longhorns’ future.
