“Terrible management, We didn’t take action when needed, Sack the board, Sack the players” – Leicester City fans react to PL relegation as they call for change in management and players

Leicester City will play Championship football next season after they were relegated from the Premier League on Survival Sunday.

The Foxes beat West Ham 2-1 at the King Power Stadium but Everton’s 1-0 win over Bournemouth ensured their nine-year stay in the top flight is over.

Leicester had to wait for their fate to be confirmed due to 10 minutes of stoppage time at Goodison Park where a goal for Bournemouth would have been enough for survival.

The players were filmed on the pitch watching the events unfold at Everton in the hope of sensational late drama.

But it did not come and their resulting relegation after a dismal campaign will now spark serious questions over some of their star players including Harvey Barnes and James Maddison.

Sad Leicester fans were quick to respond on social media and here’s what they had to say…

Fossehub: “Sad day for this football club.”

Foxes of Leicester: “We’ll be back! And we’ll be better off without some of the current players!”

Logan: “Proud of how we played today, gave everything and won. Sadly we were unfortunate. If we play like this we’ll be back next year.”

Adam: “Terrible investment, terrible management.”

Kini: “Sack the board, sack the players, sack everyone.”

Isaac: “Its been one hell of a ride lads.”

Joey Draper: “We did it to ourselves ALL SEASON. Acted like we were fine for months and we weren’t. BR should’ve been gone during the World Cup break. Then we couldn’t perform on the pitch. The Faes own goal game (3 pts lost) Maddison’s error against Bournemouth (3pts lost) Maddison’s missed penalty (2 points lost) it sucks but we didn’t take action when needed. Now we are in big trouble.”
