Report confirms Newcastle have reignited their interest in signing £40million rated West Ham winger who almost joined club in 2020, player is highly rated by Eddie Howe
According to a report from the Telegraph, West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen is firmly on the radar of Newcastle ahead of the summer window.
The Hammers signed the 26-year-old attacker from Hull City in January 2020 for around £18 million (The Daily Mail), and he has turned out to be a superb addition to David Moyes’s squad.
Bowen has gone on to rack up 38 goals and 28 assists in 146 games for West Ham (Transfermarkt).
The 26-year-old has been nowhere near his best this season, but he has been rediscovering his best stuff of late.
Form is temporary, class is permanent…and Newcastle boss Eddie Howe obviously puts Jarrod Bowen into the latter category.
The Telegraph reckon that the Magpies are eyeing up a surprise move to sign the former Hull City star at the end of the season as Eddie Howe looks to continue to build a side capable of matching the big six.
Bowen almost joined Newcastle back in 2020 but the Magpies back tracked on the deal after then club owner Mike Ashley refused to meet the Hammers £18million valuation of the player.
