Leeds United Deadline Day Transfer news: Official announcement imminent for Tanaka and Schmidt, Whites submit late offer for Hamer, Gelhardt facing late Elland Road exit

Leeds seal Tanaka and Schmidt signing 

Leeds United have tied up a deal to sign Ao Tanaka and his arrival will be announced around midday on Transfer Deadline Day, the Yorkshire Evening Post report.

According to Graham Smyth on the paper’s website on 30 August the Japanese international’s £3.3million move was wrapped up the previous evening, with a medical already completed.

Isaac Schmidt is also set to become one of at least two new players on deadline day at Leeds United with the full-back jetting in this morning to undergo a Leeds medical and sign on the dotted line. The deal for the 24-year-old would see St. Gallen earn a Swiss record transfer fee of €5.5m including add ons.

Leeds submit fresh bid for Gustavo Hamer

According to The Sheffield Star, Leeds have returned with a new offer to sign Hamer which includes Whites forward Joel Piroe in a cash-plus-player deal.

GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed that the Brazilian-born 27-year-old,would accept a move to Elland Road should a deal be agreed, but according to the Sheffield Star the Whites would have to “significantly raise their offer” to convince the Blades to sell.

Joe Gelhardt could leave Elland Road 

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds would be prepared to sanction a loan move for Joe Gelhardt if another attacker arrives.

Gelhardt has not started a league match for Leeds in over a year and could really do with some regular minutes as his development has become very stagnant.

The addition of Hamer would only limit his chance of game time at Leeds even further, which already looks pretty restricted.
