“If I’m being totally honest, I think Luton can get out, I think the third team might be Forest, Luton are going to save themselves, Everton home games will save them”- Ian Wright delivers verdict on Premier League relegation battle as he drops Everton, Forest & Luton Town relegation prediction

Ian Wright has given his verdict on the relegation battle in the Premier League as he backs Everton to avoid the drop with Nottingham Forest and Luton Town to fight it out for 17th.

Despite the Toffees being handed a further two-point deduction, taking their total to eight for the season, Wright fancies Sean Dyche to keep his side up and also backs Luton to avoid the drop.

Speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Wright said: “Calvert-Lewin did look particularly sharp. You’d like to think those Everton home games will save them. If I’m being totally honest, I think Luton can get out. Forest are in there. One of them two are going to get out.

“I think the third team might be Forest. Luton are going to save themselves.”

Despite Everton’s recent struggles and the additional two-point deduction, they remain favourites for 16th place. Their upcoming fixtures could provide opportunities to accumulate points and climb up the table.

While Everton fans would be happy with Wright’s prediction, the same cannot be said about Forest fans who will be hoping they can hold on to their place in the English top flight. The reds were deducted Four points last month after being found guilty of PSR breach.

Nuno’s side currently sit in 17th place on the table ahead of 18th place Luton on goal difference. The Tricky Tees would no doubt be looking over their shoulders as Luton have proven to be in a much better form than their relegation counterparts in recent weeks.
