“I’d keep an eye on Burnley”- Journalist says highly rated £22m Tottenham star could end up at Burnley before close of Transfer window as he predicts Clarets would make late move to sign player

Bryan Gil probably needs to leave Tottenham before the transfer deadline.

While the Spaniard is said to be keen to fight for his place in this Tottenham team, the reality is that it’s probably not going to happen for the winger at Spurs.

Indeed, as much as Gil is giving his all at Tottenham, he’s way down the pecking order now with the likes of Timo Werner, Heung-Min Son, Manor Solomon, Brennan Johnson and perhaps even Ryan Sessegnon above him in the pecking order down that left wing.

Speaking on Last Word on Spurs, Ben Jacobs has been discussing Gil’s future, and he’s said that there’s a chance that there’s some late Premier League interest in the player, claiming that Burnley are a team to watch in this race.

Ben Jacobs shares what he knows about Byran Gill

“With Gil there is a willingness to listen to offers, Fenerbahce are keen, so another Turkish move, nothing advanced with Lazio. There are some suggestions with nothing advanced with Lazio. There are some suggestions from sources that there could be some late Premier League interest, I’d keep an eye on Burnley,” Jacobs said.

This would be a very interesting move for Gil.

The winger has always looked a bit too weak for the Premier League, but perhaps he would be well-suited to Vincent Kompany’s side that relies more on technical ability than physical prowess.

There is a talented player in there with Gil, and perhaps he could spread his wings at Burnley if given a regular run of Premier League football.

The Clarets themselves need to make something happen if they’re to survive in the Premier League this season, and a player like Gil is certainly worth a gamble at this point.

Watch out for any potential late movement on this front.
