“He’s going to Leicester where he will say the exact same stuff he said about us to them, Any team other than derby or Leicester”- Nottingham Forest fans sends message to Leicester fans as they rage at Steve Cooper’s move to King Power by digging up old promise of former headcoach claiming he’ll never coach a rival team

Nottingham Forest fans have dug up a previous promise of former boss Steve Cooper claiming he’ll never manage a rival team.

Cooper was recently confirmed as new Leicester manage at the King Power , replacing former ooss Enzo Maresca who left to join Chelsea earlier this month.

However, the rivalry between the clubs has led fans to insist the boss will tarnish his legacy at the City Ground if he makes the switch to join the Foxes. Cooper has been out of work since his dismissal at Forest in December 2023 despite previous links with other jobs but has now become Leicester boss in an unexpected twist.

Some red fans have even gone as far as digging up an old promise of their Former boss promising to not coach another rival club during a press conference after stating his affection for the TrickyTees.

After joining Forest in 2021, the Welsh boss led them to promotion from the Championship and helped to establish the team in the Premier League before his dismissal.

Despite Cooper previously speaking about how much the club meant to him and how much he loves the city, fans are now insisting he was simply getting fans on his side.

Other supporters, meanwhile, insisted they would boo him upon his return to the City Ground.
