“Glasner has just spoken to me, should be fit enough to play a part against Man City”- Good news as reporter gives update on Michael Olise injury and possible return date for Crystal Palace fans
Michael Olise has been out injured since February’s thrashing by Brighton, but now a new update has been shared on his return.
Things haven’t been going smoothly at Selhurst Park recently. Despite the signs clearly being good, Oliver Glasner‘s style can be a success here, with finishing and individual faults being the main problem.
Crystal Palace therefore will be desperate for the star of the club, Michael Olise, to return to action.
Now, fans have been handed an update on his impending return, which seems to be closer than we thought. As the results continue to be poor for Palace, there is one man who could change the fortunes of the Eagles.
Olise has been out since Roy Hodgson‘s final game in the loss against Brighton and his absence has been one sorely felt.
Glasner hasn’t even had a chance to play Olise yet, but this could all be about to change according to BBC 5 Live reporter Chris Wise.
“Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has just spoken to me,” he explained before providing the fitness update on Olise.
“Says that Michael Olise should be fit enough to play a part against Manchester City.
“Glasner says ‘It’ll only be 20 minutes and they need to be careful, but the player is desperate to get back.’”
After a streak under Glasner of just one win in five, the club look likely to be dragged back into a battle to avoid relegation.
This looks particularly concerning, with a difficult stretch of games over the next few games which includes both Manchester clubs and Liverpool.
Therefore, as fears mount of a potential relegation fight, Olise’s return couldn’t have come at a better time. His magic could be needed to keep Palace safe from potential relegation fears and he might single-handedly do so, with few others showing signs of helping right now.
