EXCLUSIVE: Leeds now looking to end summer on a high note after Joel Piroe deal as Whites agree personal terms to sign Ex-Arsenal star after breakthrough in talks, Club set to submit official bid this weekend

Leeds have made a breakthrough to sign Rangers attacking midfielder Glen Kamara

The Glasgow Rangers star had been attracting interest from three clubs in the Championship.

Leeds United have agreed a deal to sign Joel Piroe from Swansea City. While a deal for Germany midfielder Nadiel Amiri is nearing completion.

They are also negotiating a deal for Rangers star Glen Kamara. Kamara has emerged as a target after Tyler Adams completed his permanent switch to Bournemouth.

Leeds United have now reportedly agreed personal terms to sign the Glasgow Rangers defensive midfielder Glen Kamara, and a fresh report has provided an update on talks between the clubs.

After The Daily Mail Transfer Confidential’s initial claim that the Whites were considering an offer for the 27-year-old, the pursuit temporarily quietened down, but Graham Smyth recently reported that he was back “on the radar” as a result of Tyler Adams completing his permanent switch to Bournemouth.

According to Football Insider, Leeds have now “agreed terms” with the Former Arsenal star after a “breakthrough” in discussions. The two clubs are set to continue “talks” over the designated fee, but it’s believed that his price tag has been set at £5.5m.

The Whites target, who wasn’t training with the first team at the start of the season, was also missing from his squad for their 2-2 Champions League play-off draw against PSV Eindhoven, so this is one that could develop quickly in the coming days.

Renowned transfer Journalist Dean Jones has also confirmed the move.

The transfer insider, writing on GiveMeSport, believes the Whites will lodge a bid for the Rangers star in the next 48 hours.

“Friday and Saturday this week are viewed as really key days for Leeds with a bid for Kamara ready to be lodged,” said Jones.

Leeds are looking to end a difficult summer on a high, with four late acquisitions potentially on the cards at Elland Road.
