Well, according to The Daily Mail journalist Tom Collomosse, Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno could get rid of Andrew Omobamidele, Nuno Tavares and Andrey Santos in the January transfer window.

Collomosse has reported on X that Nuno, who replaced Steve Cooper as the Forest head coach last month, has made it clear that he wants to work with a smaller squad.

The reporter has claimed that Forest could let central defender Omobamidele, left-back Tavares and defensive midfielder Santos leave in the middle of the season.

Tavares joined Forest on loan from Arsenal in the summer of 2023, while Santos switched to the Reds on a loan deal from Chelsea. Newcastle United have been linked with the Brazilian.

As for Omobamidele, Forest paid Norwich City £11 million (The Athletic) to secure the services of the 21-year-old Republic of Ireland international central defender.

Omobamidele has not made a single appearance in the Premier League for Forest this season. Then manager Steve Cooper clearly did not think that the 21-year-old was ready.

Now, that might be the case still, but Nuno has to work with the defender on a regular basis to get him to understand his system.

There is no point in sending the 21-year-old out on loan to another club now if he is to have a long-term future at the City Ground. Moreover, Forest signed him only in the summer of 2023.
