It comes two years after Ancelotti left the Toffees to become manager of Real Madrid. Last month, Everton secured a ‘substantial’ loan to help cover the cost of building their new Bramley Moore Dock Stadium.
Mail Sport revealed Everton owner Farhad Moshiri completed a deal through Ormskirk-based venture capital company Blythe Capital after a year of work to secure funding.
It came days after MSP Sports Capital secured a ‘period of exclusivity’ to explore options on a deal to fund the stadium build.
Sources close to Everton maintain that Moshiri is not looking to sell the club, but is exploring the possibility of selling a minority stake.
The club are expected to have to sell a number of players over the summer, despite avoiding relegation from the Premier League on the final day of the season.
Ancelotti guided Everton to 12th and 10th place finishes during his time in charge of the Toffees. Since leaving the club, he has enjoyed more success than the Toffees.

Despite a disappointing recent campaign, the Italian did guide Real Madrid to the LaLiga title in the previous season along with the Champions League following their victory over Liverpool in Paris.
Everton meanwhile finished four points outside the relegation zone in 2021-22 and just two clear in the recent campaign.
The Guardian report that neither Ancelotti nor the Premier League side have made any comment on the situation.
