Exclusive: Arsenal ask West Ham to pay £35million for talented striker who scored 21 goals last season as Hammers make enquiry to sign player during Declan Rice talks

Arsenal have reportedly told West Ham United to pay £35 million for ‘elite’ Folarin Balogun this summer after the West Londoners reportedly made enquires about the striker’s price tag during negotiations over Declan Rice.

According to the Sun, Arsenal are demanding around £35 million for West Ham target Folarin Balogun in the summer transfer window.

West Ham have been linked with the Gunners hitman on numerous occasions over the past few months – most recently just last month.

Hammers manager David Moyes is keen to add more pace and power to his front-line this summer and Balogun certainly has that in abundance.

And West Ham now know exactly how much it will cost to bring the two-capped United States international to the London Stadium.
The Sun reckon that the Hammers will have to pay £35 million for the striker.

I believe that that will represent exceptional value for Wets Ham in the long-run. The 21-year-old is an incredibly talented young striker with a really high ceiling.

Described by the Arsenal Way as an ‘elite finisher’, Balogun has the ability needed to really take West Ham to another level next season.

The 21-year-old was in sensational form for Reims in Ligue 1 this season just gone.

Balogun bagged 21 goals in 37 Ligue 1 games so far (Transfermarkt). That put him behind only Kylian Mbappe, Jonathan David and Alexandre Lacazette in the goalscoring charts.

I have to say, I think that the Arsenal owned striker would be the perfect summer addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.

He has blistering pace and raw power in abundance and has the ability and potential to go on and become a real star of the game.

He has proven this season that he is more than ready to produce the goods at the very highest level on a consistent basis.

Spending £35 million on Folarin Balogun will seem like a truly unbelievable deal in just a few year’s time, in my opinion. And West Ham should not hesitate to bring the young striker to the London Stadium from the Emirates.
