Andrea Radrizzani on verge of selling Leeds United stake to San Francisco 49ers
Andrea Radrizzani reportedly appears to be walking out of Leeds United for good as he is on the verge of selling his stake in the club.

According to an exclusive by Last Word On Football [5 June], the Italian has decided to sell his entire stake post the club’s relegation and his purchase of Sampdoria.

It’s understood that this sale to the San Francisco 49ers may bring about wholesale changes at the top of the club hierarchy.

It may be days now and Leeds fans will finally see Radrizzani walking away from the club for good and this would be a rare happy moment after months of sadness.

The Italian deserved credit for appointing Marcelo Bielsa and bringing Leeds back up and everything seemed to be rosy then.

The fans loved the club and there was a real connection between the board and the average supporter and under Bielsa, the football and results were eye catching as well.

However, they failed to back him in his second Premier League season and that led to a series of bad decisions culminating in multiple manager sackings and sales of big-name players.

What was the final straw is Radrizzani not attending the final Premier League game and then news emerged that he had offered Elland Road as a security to acquire a loan in his purchase of Sampdoria. [The Athletic – June 1]

The exact numbers aren’t out yet, but if this is true then it’s big news and this kickstarts a new era at Leeds United.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that a Whites senior player is now set to leave the club at a discounted fee post relegation and will not be signing a new contract.
