CONFIRMED: Nottingham Forest 29-year-old star now set to complete exit from club this Thursday as player agrees deal to leave City Ground after struggling under Steve Cooper

Gustavo Scarpa looks set to leave Nottingham Forest and will arrive in Greece on Thursday to finalise his move. The player is now keen on a move to Olympiacos, with his chances of football at the City Ground looking limited.

According to reports, Scarpa is now very close to a departure from Forest. He only arrived in January from Palmeiras but has found regular football hard to come by.

The player endured a frustrating time of things on Trentside. He initially looked as though he could do a job for the team but he managed just 486 minutes of action for the Reds.

Forest forward Scarpa featured in 10 matches. His last outing for the Reds came when he played for 18 minutes off the bench during a 2-1 defeat at Leeds, with a knee injury curtailing his season.

Now, Evangelos Marinakis is set to make use of him elsewhere. He is due to arrive in Greece on Thursday to finalise his move to Olympiacos, where he could become a star.

Scarpa can operate as a number 10, or on the flanks. At Forest, the Brazilian was even used in central midfield on some occasions, with Cooper never really knowing where to use him best.

According to the latest reports, Scarpa has now agreed to leave Forest. He has accepted the terms of the move to Greece without a second thought and will head to his new club on Thursday. It’s a shame that things haven’t worked out for Scarpa at Forest. Now, it will be interesting to see whether or not, the club receives a fee for his services or not.

The 29-year-old has proved a popular character in the dressing room and off the pitch. Sadly for Scarpa, he’s not really been given the number of opportunities on the green bit to get into any sort of form.
