Because of the history between the clubs, I don’t just see how it would be accepted by the fans, There is absolutely no chance”- Paul Robinson warns Daniel Farke Leeds fans would not accept Kerem Akturkoglu transfer at Elland Road

Paul Robinson has insisted that there is “absolutely no chance” that Leeds United would do business with Galatasaray to sign Kerem Akturkoglu in January following reports that Daniel Farke has earmarked the player as a top target for the January transfer window.
It comes after Aksam reported on 19 December that the Whites were ready to pay £12.9million to sign the winger next month and bring him to Elland Road.
Robinson admitted that Akturkoglu simply would not be accepted by the fans because of the history between the two clubs, stating it would be unfair to them and the player.
“I think there is absolutely no chance the two clubs would do business because I don’t think the player would be accepted,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“Because of the history between the clubs, Harry Kewell left Leeds and inadvertently between two clubs went to Galatasaray and Leeds fans made their feelings very clear about that.

“I just don’t see how, it just wouldn’t be accepted by the fans and I don’t think you would do that to a player because it’s difficult enough to join a new club without the whole of the fan base being against you to start with.”
Daniel Farke has already admitted that he is definitely looking at a new left-back, with other options potentially on the table ahead of the window opening on Monday 1 January.
