Coventry City fans have made their feelings known after Callum O’Hare has been linked with interest from Championship rivals Sheffield United.

The Blades are the latest club to emerge as having targeted the free agent following his departure from the Sky Blues, with whom he’s ended a memorable five year spell. The Sheffield Star have reported an ‘exclusive,’ claiming manager Chris Wilder is “keen on luring” the 26-year-old attacking midfielder to Bramall Lane this summer.

O’Hare is understood to not be short of offers for his next chapter of his career, with interest from England and abroad. He’s already been linked with the likes of Southampton, West Ham and Burnley, while previous interest from Leicester City has been dismissed by the Daily Telegraph.

The prospect of O’Hare going to a Championship rival hasn’t gone down too well with Sky Blues fans. Here’s what people have been saying:

Ian: If on a free transfer he ends up there he needs a new agent! He surely has to go to a side in the Prem who finished outside the top ten or abroad other than that it’s a step down.

Conor Scott: Massive sidewards step with he moves there.

Anthony Hornsby: If Callum O’Hare joins Sheff United then I’ll be despondent. Not because of him, but because it means our club’s image & pull hasn’t improved like we hoped. Hamer & O’Hare at a division rival we should be looking to outperform when they played here together so recently.

Dan Harvey: Sheffield United, having problems with FFP as well but one promotion for us puts us on a level playing field for a few years.

Ben: If they’re offering him £30k then good luck to them. Was gutted about Hamer but they were in Prem. I think we can do better than COH.
