“An unforgettable few months, The fans deserve to stay in the Premier League” – Keylor Navas sends emotional goodbye message to Nott Forest fans as goalkeeper returns to PSG after loan spell at City Ground
Keylor Navas has sent an emotional message following the end of his loan spell at Nottingham Forest.
The Costa Rican arrived at the City Ground from Paris Saint-Germain in January after another on-loan shot-stopper, Dean Henderson, picked up what turned out to be a season-ending injury.
Navas played a key role in the Reds’ successful survival bid this season. Steve Cooper’s side secure their Premier League status for another campaign with a game to spare.
And in a post on Instagram, the 36-year-old, who won three Champions League titles at Real Madrid, has shared a heartfelt message to the Reds faithful.
“I want to thank God for giving me the chance to live such a beautiful experience in Nottingham,” he said.
“It has been an unforgettable few months in which I have felt the support of an entire city and in which I have enjoyed every day of my profession and, especially, every game at the City Ground.
“Both the club and the fans deserved to stay in the Premier League and together we have achieved it. Come on you Reds!!!!”
How important has Navas been for Forest?
