Coventry City have been ‘fristrated and put off’ by demands for the man it is claimed the club have targeted to replace the Callum O’Hare due to what has been described as a ‘stunning’ asking price by relegated Huddersfield Town.

The Sun’s transfer specialist Alan Nixon today claims the Sky Blues are keen on the Terriers’ impressive attacking midfielder Jack Rudoni, saying Mark Robins sees the 22-year-old as the ‘ideal’ replacement for out of contract O’Hare, who is expected to leave the CBS Arena on a free transfer this summer.

O’Hare has been offered fresh terms but the club appear resigned to losing the services of the number ten, and are actively looking for an alternative.

However, Nixon says: “Huddersfield want a stunning £10million for highly-rated Jack Rudoni to put off Coventry City.”

The report on the journalist’s Patreon account adds that: “…the Sky Blues backed away when they heard the valuation and will go elsewhere.”

Rudoni joined Huddersfield for £800,000 from AFC Wimbledon in 2022 and is currently contracted to the club until the summer of 2026, with the now League One outfit understood to have an option of a further year. The left-footed midfielder, who has had two seasons in the Championship, caught the eye when the Sky Blues played against Town last season.
