PL Top 4 battle: Aston Villa final Premier League fixtures compared to Tottenham as race for Top 4 heats up following draw to Chelsea

Aston Villa gave up a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday night.

Unai Emery’s side were awarded the opening goal through Marc Cucurella after John McGinn’s effort bounced off the Spanish defender, and led 2-0 at the break thanks to Morgan Rogers. Noni Madueke then gave the visitors hope by halving the deficit in the second half.

Conor Gallagher put matters level with 10 minutes to go and Villa were unable to respond. Cole Palmer was denied by Robin Olsen in stoppage time and Axel Disasi thought he had won it for his team before his goal was ruled out by VAR.

Elsewhere, sixth-placed United shared the spoils with Burnley, playing out a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. Antony ended his goal-scoring drought by getting on the scoresheet before Andre Onana conceded a penalty in the latter stages.

As for fifth-placed Tottenham, they will face Arsenal in the North London Derby on Sunday afternoon. Villa are currently seven points from Spurs, who have three games in hand prior to their kick-off.
