Burnley are keen on West Ham striker Danny Ings on loan though Hammers boss David Moyes is reluctant to lose Ings at this stage after Michail Antonio’s setback in his recovery from a knee injury.
West Ham want a wide player and have added Ajax’s Steven Bergwijn to their options.
Danny Ings joined the Hammers in 2023 and has scored three times for the London club, though Wolves are reportedly keen on re-signing their former star.
Ings has yet to score for West Ham this season in 17 appearances across all competitions and has made just one start in the Premier League.
The 31-year-old’s current contract runs until 2025 but he may be open to a move that would enable him to play regularly although one stumbling block to that move will be David Moyes reluctance to let the player go without a replacement this month.
Burnley have struggled since their return to the Premier League this season and are in a relegation fight with fellow promotion rivals Luton Town and Sheffield United. Vincent Kompany’s side are currently in Nineteenth place in the Premier League and feel that the signing of Ings could help them push for safety from relegation.
Lyle Foster is the club’s leading scorer this season with four goals but the arrival of Ings would provide them with additional firepower.
Ings possesses plenty of Premier League experience from his spells at Burnley, Liverpool, Southampton and Aston Villa.
