“Crystal Palace fans won’t like me for saying this but this kid is too good for palace, Someone is definitely going to come in for him”- PL pundit makes bold claim about Palace star as he send transfer warning to Eagles fans

Michael Olise is back in form for Crystal Palace and the sky is the limit for the 22-year-old, talkSPORT have been told.

Olise now has four goals and an assist in his last four Premier League games as he looks to take himself, and the Eagles, to another level.

In the summer there was significant interest from Chelsea in the France youth international, with a reported £35million release clause in his contract.

In a twist, though, the player penned a new four-year deal at Selhurst Park in August. Now back after a lengthy absence due to a hamstring injury, he’s showcasing just why he was a wanted man.

And former Blues defender Jason Cundy reckons the winger is currently looking so good that he would make it into any Premier League team right now – including reigning champions Man City.

“I want to talk about Michael Olise at Crystal Palace,” said Cundy on the talkSPORT Breakfast.

“That kid, for me, I think he can go into any team in the Premier League – right now, including Manchester City.

He added: “Crystal Palace fans won’t like and thank me for saying this but this kid is going to the very top. He’s too good for Palace.

“Someone is definitely going to come in for him. He’s absolutely top draw this kid and he’s going to go to the very top.

“Chelsea, apparently, nearly signed him in the summer. Didn’t happen, signed Cole Palmer instead – that’s been a pretty good move for him, by the way, he’s excellent.”

Has Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise revealed that he is a true blue at heart by picking Chelsea players in JD Sports’ ‘this or that’ game?

But co-host and Arsenal legend Ray Parlour countered that it will now take a huge transfer fee for a Premier League giant to land Olise and other top talents, as teams get smart about contracts.

He interjected: “Hwang [Hee-Chan] at Wolves, he’s just signed a new long-term contract, so obviously the fee is now a lot more than it would have been and Olise has just signed a big long contract.

“[Joao] Palhinha is another one I really like in midfield, he nearly signed for Bayern Munich. He’s just signed a big bumper deal at Fulham.

“What a lot of the clubs are doing is saying, ‘Okay, if you really want our player, you’re looking at £70m, £80m, £90m. They could get a price within that region for him.”
