“Its Home, I love the club, I love the fans, I love the City, it’s the best decision I made for my career”-Leeds new signing says joining club was the career’s best decision as player calls Elland Road home

The Whites made a number of eye-catching signings in the summer window, and it was kickstarted by arguably the best of the lot in Ethan Ampadu.

A Wales international, Ampadu joined the club from Chelsea off the back of a series of loan spells, costing the club an initial £7million.

While results aren’t snowballing yet for Leeds with just five points on the board from as many games, the performances of many are impressing, including Ampadu.

Tasked with replacing Tyler Adams at the base of midfield, Leeds look to have a real star on their hands that looks a cut above the rest of the division every time he plays under Daniel Farke, and a bargain at the price paid.

Heading out for international duty, fans will still get their fix of watching Ampadu in action for Wales this week as they prepare for a friendly against South Korea, and then an important European Championship qualifier against Latvia.

When asked about the move to Leeds, Ampadu had this to say:

“It’s nice just to be somewhere and call it home. I think the way that I’ve integrated into the team has been also helpful for that.

“Everyone’s welcoming, like fans, players, they’ve made it easy for me to settle in, which I think all of those things make it real easy to play football.

“I love the club, I love the fans, I love the city. I think I made the best decision for my career.”

“Results wise, we know we can do better, but performance wise, at the start of the season with how things have gone so far, we can be pretty pleased with how we’ve been playing.”

Ampadu has been our best signing of the summer and the way in which he has taken to the league with such ease is remarkable.

He is too good for the division and we need to get promoted as soon as possible, otherwise we face losing him.

His time out on loan hasn’t been that effective for him in terms of really developing into a top-level player, you can see through the lack of clarity in his position before he joined Leeds.

Now, under Farke, he has a permanent home and a manager who is getting the best out of him.
