CONFIRMED: Fabrizio Romano confirms Leeds have now submitted official bid to sign highly rated Midfielder, player has already agreed to move with deal set to be completed this week
Leeds United have submitted an official bid for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer expert reported on his Twitter account on Sunday [26 August] that negotiations between the clubs are at the final stages. Kamara is said to have already agreed to the move, with the deal now set to be completed next week.
After such a disappointing start to the season for Leeds both on and off the field, things have changed in their favour drastically.
Willy Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra had both been training away from the squad, but they have been integrated back into the fold by Daniel Farke. Indeed, both were on the scoresheet in the 4-3 win over Ipswich Town on Saturday [26 August], with that win giving United lift-off for the season.
The arrival of Kamara now appears imminent and will provide the Whites with something a little different in the middle of the park.
Kamara has been a great servant to Rangers since arriving in January 2019, but he has been ostracised of late and the club are eager to sell.
Available for a bargain fee of around £5million [Ben Jacobs], this is a deal that ticks so many boxes for Leeds.
And with five days of the transfer window left to run, it is unlikely to be the last incoming activity at Elland Road.
