EXCLUSIVE: Good news for Leicester fans with Foxes now set to complete triple signing this week as Enzo Maresca rebuild begins to take shape

Leicester City on the brink of completing the triple signing of Zack Steffen, Harry Winks and Conor Coady this week.

The club have already agreed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Harry Winks with a medical already scheduled.

The England international has a year left on his Spurs deal and with the player not featuring in Ange Postecoglou’s plans going forward at the club, Spurs have decided to sell Winks to Leicester who now have an agreement in place.

The Midfielder will complete a move to King Power stadium on a £10m deal once all the necessary formalities have been concluded.

The Foxes are also set to bolster their defensive options with the addition of experienced centre-back Conor Coady.

They have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Coady from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £7.5m plus £1m in add-ons seeing off competition from newly promoted Premier League side Sheffield United for the experienced defender.

The club are also set to finally bring in a new goalkeeper and are reportedly on the verge of signing Manchester City shot-stopper Zack Steffen.

Since joining the Citizens in the summer of 2019, the USA international has had to settle for a role as a backup goalkeeper and has fell even further down the pecking order after the arrival of Stefan Ortega at the club last summer.

Steffen was subsequently sent out on loan to Championship outfit Middlesbrough, where he kept 10 clean sheets in 45 competitive games, helping Michael Carrick’s side reach the playoffs.

The reigning European champions are prepared to sanction a sale rather than send him out on another loan deal with the player emerging as a top target for Leicester, who are yet to replace Kasper Schmeichel following his departure last summer.

Danny Ward and Daniel Iversen were both utilised at various points of the 2022-23 campaign, but they were unable to convincingly make the number one spot their own.

According to talkSPORT, the Foxes are making progress in their pursuit of Steffen and are on the verge of agreeing a permanent transfer.

Newly-appointed Leicester boss Enzo Maresca left his position as Man City first-team coach to take on the role and he is aware of Steffen’s qualities from his time at the Etihad Stadium.

Leicester fans will certainly be happy with the rapid progress the club has made on new signings this week having released a total of seven players with the future of many others still up in the air after their relegation from the Premier League last month.

The club are now in the process of a rebuild and are backing Enzo Maresca to lead the charge as they attempt to secure a return back to the English Premier League at the first time of asking.

Leicester are set to return to pre-season training next week, as they prepare for their first Championship campaign since the 2013-14 season.
