“Both Man of the match, absolute machine” – Leicester City fans singles out two Foxes stars for special praise after superb displays in Wolves win
Caglar Soyuncu point made after Leicester City secure huge win over Wolves
Leicester City beat Wolves 2-1 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday to move out of the Premier League bottom three.
Matheus Cunha gave the visitors the lead in the 13th minute before Kelechi Iheanacho equalised from the penalty spot in the 37th minute. Timothy Castagne’s goal 15 minutes from time then secured a vital three points for Leicester as they move up to 17th in the table.
The win is City’s first since beating Tottenham 4-1 back in February. It was also new manager Dean Smith’s first success since succeeding Brendan Rodgers on April 10.
Next up for City are two huge fixtures against their relegation rivals. They travel to Leeds on Tuesday, before hosting Everton six days later.
Here’s what Foxes fans had to say about the win over Wolves…
ruds72: Today’s performance was all about the win & a huge boost for everyone connected with the club. Performance was disjointed for large parts but there was evident hunger today. Soyuncu was top drawer, welcome back Cags.
Hollie: Soyuncu, what a performance.
Billy Langham: Soumare and Cags today dropped 10/10s. Both Man of the Match worthy but Soumare just edges it. Faes was quality too. A much needed 3 points after forgetting what it felt like! COME ON YOU FOXES!!!
Sonny: Soyuncu was the best player today
Ziya Erdem: What was Brendan thinking when not playing Soyuncu? His poor man management and coaching led to this decline, he should’ve been sacked at least 1-1.5 years ago.
Ryan: SOUMARE WAS AN ABSOLUTE MACHINE
Garrod: Soyuncu alllllll day long, very closely followed by Soumare ????????????
Jack Gabriel: The stand out player from that performance was Soyuncu. He and Faes were left exposed in 1v1 duels often but his decision making was spot on every time. Imagine if those two were paired together all season.
Jamie: Fully deserved and a much better performance all round. I do wonder how much better off we’d be if Brendan gave Soyuncu more games, he was my POTM today. Buzzing with 3 points
Jamie Snashall: Soyuncu and Soumare both immense today. If only Cags played more games this season!
George Wilson: That was huge. Soyuncu was MASSIVE today. Carry the momentum and there’s nothing stopping us
Emma: What a difference Soyuncu makes!!
