Fabrizio confirms Forest interest in signing James Ward Prowse

West Ham United midfielder James Ward-Prowse is said to have become a last-minute transfer target for Nottingham Forest, who await a final decision on deadline day.

The English midfielder who only joined West Ham summer is facing an uncertain future in East London this season as he looks set to fall down the pecking order under new head coach Julien Lopetegui following a flurry of new signings this summer.

That is based on word from Fabrizio Romano, who states that Ward-Prowse has piqued the club’s interest in case he becomes available at short notice.

Forest see Bid for Liverpool goalkeeper rejected

Caoimhin Kelleher has again been the subject of a rejected bid from Nottingham Forest as his frustrations as Liverpool understudy are set to prolong for at least another four months.

According to The Athletic, Forest were willing to offer cash and also send American stopper Matt Turner in the opposite direction but the swap plus cash package didn’t meet the Merseyside club’s €30m valuation although it is unclear how much exactly the Reds offered in cash.

Forest could still return for the Irish shot stopper before the close of the transfer window although it is likely that Liverpool will reject any offer given the little time left to find a replacement.

Nottingham Forest in advanced talks over Omar Marmoush

According to Rob Dorsett live on Sky Sports, Forest are now pushing hard to try and complete a deal to sign Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush.

The 25-year-old is on the back of a solid season in the Bundesliga, and he scored 17 goals in all competitions for the German outfit. It was claimed yesterday that Marmoush wants to come to Forest and he’s desperate for the move to happen before the deadline tonight.

Forest will now look to thrash out a deal with Frankfurt and ensure the player is added to the ranks in time to meet the deadline.

Nottingham Forest nearing deal to sign USYNT forward from D.C. United

Nottingham Forest are nearing a deal to sign U.S. youth international forward Kristian Fletcher on loan from D.C. United with the player set to undergo a medical today according to journalist Tom Bogert.
.
The deal would be a one-year loan with a purchase option. Fletcher, 19, excelled on loan with Swansea City’s Under-21 side last year. The forward has 28 total first-team appearances for D.C. and has been with the United States Under-19 youth national team this year.

Fletcher is likely to get minutes with Nottingham Forest’s reserve team, competing in Premier League 2. That Under-21 side won both of their opening games to start the new 2024-25 season.
